Ways to get involved

Whatever you can spare, an hour, a marathon, a meeting room, or a Saturday afternoon, helps us keep sessions running for more than 700 Friends across the Wirral.

Questions

Find answers to common questions about volunteering and supporting us.

What if I can only commit once a month?

Many of our volunteers help out just once a month, and that's perfect. We run sessions across the Wirral throughout the month, so there's always a slot that fits your schedule. One session a month means you're part of something steady and real.

Do I need to know anything about dementia?

No. We'll tell you what you need to know before your first session. Most volunteers say they learn as they go, and the Friends teach you plenty. What matters is showing up and being present.

What happens at my first session?

You'll meet the team, get a quick briefing on the session, and then help out. You might pour tea, chat with Friends, help with an activity, or set up chairs. We'll pair you with someone who knows the ropes.

We are a small business, can we still partner with you?

Yes. We work with businesses of all sizes. You could sponsor a session, set us as your charity of the year, or run a fundraising event. Call us on 07935 797445 and we'll work out what suits you.

I want to fundraise, where do I start?

Tell us your idea, whether it's a marathon, bake sale, supermarket stand, or sponsored walk. We'll give you everything you need, from posters to a fundraising page. Head to our fundraise for us page to get started.
