Thank you to our community fundraisers
Golf clubs, classic cars, an ultra marathon and a long walk along the Wirral Way. Here is what our supporters have done for us in 2026.
It has been a remarkable year for community fundraising, with supporters across the Wirral holding events and taking on challenges for us in 2026. Thank you to everyone who took part.
Caldy Golf Club. The Lady Captain chose Dementia Together Wirral as her Charity of the Year for 2025/26. Over that time the Lady Captain, members, guests and staff raised an incredible £3,513.
Wallasey Golf Club. Both the Ladies' and Men's Captains have chosen us as their charity for 2026/27, the second year running that Wallasey have supported us. Some of their members recently joined us on the Wirral Coastal Walk.
The Wirral Coastal Walk. Seventeen people took part through the rotary club and have collectively raised over £4,000 to date.
Beloved Homecare raised over £700 by walking the Wirral Way.
An ultra marathon. A local personal trainer whose family has been affected by dementia completed an ultra marathon with two friends in July, raising over £4,000 between them. We cannot thank them enough.
Wirral Classic Cars have again chosen us as their charity of the year. They hold four shows across the Wirral between May and September, where members bring along beautifully restored vehicles from yesteryear.
Alongside fundraising, we have been attending more information stands than ever, and working with GP surgeries and community groups, to reach carers and the people they care for.
