Our new logo, chosen by our community
Our old logo was not dementia friendly. So we asked the people who use it most to help us choose a better one.

Dementia Together Wirral has a new logo, and it was chosen by a vote.
Research into dementia-friendly design carried out by the Alzheimer's Society made something uncomfortable clear to us: our old logo did not meet the standards we ask of everyone else. For a charity that exists to make life easier for people living with dementia, that mattered.
Heather, one of our trustees and a marketing professional, gave her time and expertise to create a new design. The brief was to fix the accessibility problems while staying true to the original, so that the charity people already recognise still looks like itself.
Because this was such an important decision, we did not make it in a boardroom. We consulted our volunteers, our trustees, our Friends, and our Life President and founder Allan Grogan. Then we held a vote. The winner was clear, taking 67 per cent of the votes.
You will see the new logo appearing across our materials over the coming weeks as the rollout continues. Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation and the vote.
